Terms of Service
Effective August 24, 2026
Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or purchasing service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. If you purchase for another property owner or occupant, you represent that you have authority to authorize the service.
Service
Bin Buddy provides recurring curb-out and curb-back service and optional outdoor add-ons at the address on your account. Service timing is a window, not an exact appointment. Municipal collection delays, severe weather, unsafe conditions, or inaccessible property may require schedule changes.
Recurring billing
Your subscription automatically renews each month at the recurring total clearly displayed before payment until you cancel. At checkout, you must separately authorize the initial charge and automatic monthly charges. Customers who subscribe at an introductory rate retain that base rate while their subscription remains continuously active; cancelling and later restarting may use the then-current price. We will provide advance notice when required by applicable law before a renewal or a change to renewal terms.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel future renewals at any time through the Stripe billing portal available from Subscription in your Bin Buddy dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, stops the next monthly charge, and does not include a prorated refund for unused days in that period. Charges caused by our billing error will be refunded. If Bin Buddy misses a scheduled service for reasons within our control, contact support within seven days; after review, we will provide a return visit, an account credit, or a refund appropriate to the missed service. These terms do not limit any refund or remedy required by law.
Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate collection dates, bin counts, map placement, and access instructions. Bins must be safe to move, reasonably accessible, and free from hazardous materials. Secure pets and keep gates, driveways, and walking paths safe during the service window.
Access and property
You confirm that you own the service property or are authorized to request service there. While your subscription is active, you authorize Bin Buddy employees and contractors to enter exterior areas reasonably necessary to reach, move, and return your bins, including designated driveways, walkways, side yards, gates, and outdoor bin-storage areas. This permission does not authorize entry into a home or other enclosed structure. You may update access instructions or withdraw permission by contacting us, but withdrawing necessary access may prevent or end service.
Weather, holidays, and municipal delays
Collection schedules may change because of weather, holidays, or municipal operations. We will make reasonable efforts to adjust routes and notify affected customers, but we cannot guarantee service where conditions are unsafe or collection information is incorrect.
Optional add-ons
Plant watering, package pickup, and bin cleaning are one-time services unless clearly described otherwise at checkout. Package pickup means moving a visible outdoor package to the location specified by the customer; it does not include opening, signing for, or taking custody of restricted items.
Damage and issues
Report service issues promptly with relevant details or photographs. To the extent permitted by law, Bin Buddy is not responsible for ordinary wear, pre-existing damage, defective bins, hidden obstacles, or losses caused by inaccurate instructions, unsafe property conditions, municipal collection failures, weather, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Communications
We send transactional email necessary to administer your account and service, including verification, purchase confirmation, billing, route status, service reminders, and service issues. You may manage optional service-email preferences using the link in an email or your dashboard. Essential account, security, purchase-confirmation, and billing messages may still be sent. Marketing email requires separate consent and includes an unsubscribe method. We do not treat a phone number supplied for service contact as consent to receive marketing text messages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be handled in a court with jurisdiction in Wake County, North Carolina, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted here and communicated when legally required. Questions may be sent to support@binbuddync.com, (919) 607-1712, or Bin Buddy, 306 Southmoor Oaks Ct, Cary, NC 27518.
